Budgerigar Contra Megabac - Mix A mixture for all budgerigars that are afflicted with megabacteria
Budgerigar Contra Megabac is deliberately made up of mostly smaller and soft-skinned seeds.
It is known that larger and hard-shelled grains, e.g. Wheat, oat kernels, cardi seeds etc. cause pain in the goiter and gizzard of the birds suffering from megabacteria and thus of course create unnecessary stress for the animals.
Due to our own experience with a year-long show - budgerigar breeding and through contact to many breeders at home and abroad, we were unfortunately often faced with this serious problem. For this reason, we have decided to develop our own mix for budgies that are already ill. We want to make it as easy as possible for the animals so that they do not lose the fun of eating and the pleasure of eating.
We would also like to note that there are basically no feeds that protect parakeets from a megabacterial disease, as is claimed in some WS forums and also by some competitors!
As with the budgerigars, we humans are known to eat and drink as part of our daily routine. So we humans also pay attention to a special diet or a light diet for certain diseases.
Coming back to the Macrorhabdus / Megabacteria in budgerigars, we were able to put together a very high-quality, diverse and varied special mixture from 35 different, primarily small and a few larger soft-shelled seeds in conjunction with selected grasses.
The large number of seeds and herbs that are known to be able to form special mucilages, so-called polysaccharides, promote digestion and metabolism and thus contribute to an improvement in the overall constitution of budgerigars.
Certain single carbohydrate-rich seeds and various grass seeds provide additional energy for the birds. To further support the budgerigars affected by megabacteria, we recommend the administration of high-dose probiotics that contain lactobacilli, which support intestinal activity and build up the intestinal flora.
Furthermore, the regular addition of well-coordinated vitamin and mineral products significantly improves the life of birds and the immune system. If you have any questions about a Megabac
