African Astrilden Small
for all small African finch species
African Astrilden Small mainly contains fine small seeds such as. e.g. Senegal millet, manna millet, La Plata, Japanese millet and our original mohair millet as well as various other small and fine seeds. This mixture was specially developed in our own breeding facility for a large number of small African finch species, e.g. Various types of amaranth, Schönbürzelchen, yellow-bellied & elven stripes, as well as butterfly finches and gold breasts developed and tested and fed over several years.
This mixture is also recommended for species of finches that quickly develop fatty liver, such as Violet and pomegranate trees as well as all types of drops. The very high proportion of different grass seeds in connection with our selected individual seeds offer the small bird species a versatile and healthy nutrition in the breeding and keeping of these birds. A big advantage of these small and fine soft seeds is that they are much easier to digest for the small finch species, such as larger seeds, including millet, green, red or yellow millet.
Especially in breeding, where semi-ripe millet, animal feed and egg feed are also offered, it is very important to pay attention to a balanced protein and carbohydrate ratio in order not to endanger the small birds and their health.
For the administration of fatty seeds such as Negro seeds should be avoided.
